Member Spotlight: No Ten Manchester Street Hotel

The hotel is quietly tucked away, housed in an imposing Edwardian building just a seven minute walk from bustling Oxford Street and eight minutes from Baker Street.

I’m here to meet General Manager Warren Miller and am led to the delightful Terrace, where, despite the chill in the air, it’s really cosy and warm with its gas burners. It’s a contemporary environment and a smoking area, with exposed brickwork, comfy sofas and armchairs, and is ideal for guests and locals alike to relax with the papers, hold informal meetings or quietly catch up on work.

How does No Ten Manchester Street Hotel benefit from membership of BakerStreetQ?

No Ten Manchester Street Hotel sits unassumingly on one of Marylebone’s quiet and grand red-brick streets; BakerStreetQ has allowed us to make ourselves known in the area. We’ve been thrilled at the opportunities to meet other members and get to know businesses in our community, and that for us is a key benefit of our membership. We’ve also been delighted to provide offers for locals via the app, Baker Street Regulars, and currently have an Afternoon Tea offer for just £16 per person.

What do you like about the Quarter?

I love the quirkiness and pulse in the Quarter. Also the community – people are very friendly.  Everyone’s engaged and keen to help each other. We have a great community spirit and I think that’s an identity we need to keep.

What would you like to see here in the future?

I’d love to see a more pedestrianised focus, with more green spaces.

Where’s your go-to local eatery and what’s your favourite dish?

Home House – what a lovely place to be able to go to in the Quarter. It’s really nice for meetings, the perfect spot. They serve great sushi in the garden and the food in general is absolutely lovely. For a quick lunchtime bite I also enjoy Souli on George Street.

What’s the first thing you do when you get into work?

I go and say hi to everyone, check everything is fine, then it’s the dreaded emails …!

How do you like to spend your free time?

With my partner. We love travelling, going to more obscure places. Reykjavik is magical, with great night life. It’s got a very relaxed pace and we love going along to enjoy live music in the many bars. I also pass the time reading, going to the gym, wining and dining – the good things in life!

Here at BakerStreetQ, we think the lovely and local No Ten Manchester Street Hotel is a fabulous place for visitors to stay (corporate rates are available), perfect for a lunchtime bite and ideal for intimate dinners or cocktails, do try it!
