Winner at London Transport Awards 2017

We were delighted to win Transport Team/Partnership of the Year at the London Transport Awards for our Smarter Recycling and (developing) Smarter Deliveries programmes in March. The award recognised our success in consolidating waste collections and deliveries and the judges commented that they were impressed by the number of businesses involved. The prestigious awards are supported by Transport for London, London Councils and London Travel Watch and recognise excellence in transport and reward innovation and progress for transport initiatives which are really working in London.  We were also delighted to see our Wonderpass shortlisted for an award.

Our collection and delivery consolidation work contributes to the Marylebone Low Emissions Neighbourhood (LEN)  programme and Westminster City Council was also recognised for its work relating to this project. Councillor Heather Acton, who spearheaded the LEN application got a much deserved award for  ‘Outstanding Contribution to Local Transport in London’. Westminster City Council was also commended for its anti-idling campaign which our Ambassador Dan has been an active participant in. The campaign encourages behavioural change to reducing idling thereby reducing emissions in the area.

We would like to thank all our members that have participated in our Smarter Recycling programmes for ensuring their success in reducing traffic and emissions (as well as saving your company money). We are also grateful to TfL for their support with our delivery consolidation programmes.

As a member, if your business would like to find out more about Smarter Recycling or reducing deliveries please do get in touch.
