Phase 4 Underway

Over the last six weeks, the Baker Street Two Way Project team has been monitoring progress following the switchover and taking care of snagging issues. But as of today, works commence once more with Phase 4 of the scheme.

Tree planting continues into Phase 4, and while works get underway on the roads, diversions will be in place to minimise disruption for vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists, with access to all businesses being provided. From 1 April, there will be road closures in place for two weeks on Baker Street (between Blandford Street and Dorset Street) and Portman Street (one lane southbound between Portman Square and Granville Place). There will also be a road closure on Portman Mews South between Portman Street and Granville Place for 6 weeks from 1 April.

The project will continue now until completion in the summer; we strongly recommend that anyone living, working or visiting the area sign up to the Two Way Project updates, where details of all road closures and diversions are given.
