Westminster Lions 2018 - Winner
We were delighted to be one of six Westminster-based firms to be recognised for our commitment to the local community with a Westminster Lions Award. Our award was presented by Lord Mayor of Westminster, Lindsey Hall, and Deputy Leader, Cllr David Harvey who said: “By acting as a catalyst for collaboration in Westminster, Baker Street Quarter Partnership is creating a modern business culture that puts efficiency and sustainability first.” The judges commented that our programmes, Smarter Giving and Smarter Recycling, have enabled businesses and local organisations to thrive responsibly, and provided a waste service which has reduced the waste collection trips in the area by 45%.
London Transport Awards - Winner
We were beyond thrilled to have won the Transport Team/Partnership category for our Smarter Deliveries and Smarter Recycling initiatives. The award recognised our success in consolidating waste collections and deliveries and the judges commented that they were impressed by the number of businesses involved. The prestigious London Transport Awards are supported by Transport for London, London Councils and London Travel Watch and recognise excellence in transport and reward innovation and progress for transport initiatives which are really working in London. As well as this, the Wonderpass was also shortlisted in this category with our partner TfL.
New London Awards - Shortlisted
The New London Awards recognise the very best in architecture, planning and development in the capital, including both new and proposed projects across all sectors of the built environment, selected by an international expert jury. We were on cloud nine to hear The Wonderpass was shortlisted for the ‘Transport and Infrastructure’ Award along with projects like the Crossrail in Canary Wharf. The awards were presented in July 2016.
A neglected pedestrian underpass has been transformed into a colourful “Wonderpass” celebrating Baker Street’s cultural heritage.
The dramatic refurbishment of the walkway underneath Marylebone Road has transformed the previously dingy space into the area’s latest attraction.
