    Penny is responsible for leading our overall direction and overseeing the delivery of major projects. She’s also instrumental in policy development within the community and lobbying government to put our Quarter firmly on the map. Penny’s got a penchant for chai tea lattes (always) coconut water (sometimes) and kir royal cocktails (occasionally)!

  • Racheal

    Interim Head of Marketing and Communications

    Racheal

    Racheal brings hers extensive MarComms experience of working within the BIDs industry to BakerStreetQ, having worked with many in London. Her interim role will oversee the delivery of key projects over the coming year including area identity, retail strategy, Christmas lights and Sustainable Future.

    Outside of the office, you will find Racheal enjoying a gig in London, long walks by the sea or a pint in a cosy pub!

    Ensuring everyone knows about the vibrant, versatile and quirky Quarter is Kirsty’s forte. From leading our communications to developing unique benefits for our businesses, Kirsty has it covered. Miss LifeandSoul hates to miss out and has to be the first to know what’s going on in the Quarter. She’s not quite succeeded in her request for an office dog…but she’s working on it!

    Senior Manager - Operations

    Helen oversees the public realm area of our work including the street management team, security and resilience, sustainable future, greening and transformational capital projects. As our very own Green Queen, Helen is reviewing how she can make the Quarter and her personal life more sustainable, so you’ll find her knitting, sewing or baking on the weekends with her young family.

    Events and Member Communications Manager

    Dina

    She’s the creative brain behind our myriad of social and well-being events including walks and clubs, and the super-organised force driving our member events including our business networking gatherings, training programme as well as increasing members’ awareness and engagement.

    Dina loves to get her hands dirty and as a firm believer of DIY,  you’ll find her working on a home improvement project with a much needed glass of fizz.

    Having worked for years in marketing and marketing communications, and for some of the UK’s best-known brands, Deb is a seasoned copywriter – well versed in writing copy for pretty much all media. Deb enjoys the challenge of engaging with both our members and regulars as she writes and produces our weekly newsletter as well as bringing you the best local deals through Baker Street Regulars.

    Deb is an avid reader and a dedicated swimmer. And she’s a bit ‘outdoorsey’, spending much of her free time walking and on her bike.

    Smarter Giving Project Manager

    Kate’s role is to identify how our members can support charities that are local to the Quarter and assist them with their CSR through our Smarter Giving programme.  Kate’s treat for all her hard work is travelling the world which she tries to fit in, in between juggling all her charity work. And if she doesn’t get that far, a country pub is her compromise.

    Providing first-class office management support to the team comes naturally to Steph having previously managed multiple offices for a recruitment business. Steph keeps the operational, finance and administrative plates spinning at our HQ and when she’s not holding the team together, she’ll be lifting our spirits with her infectious laugh!

    Executive Assistant

    ‘Virtual Kate’ as she’s sometimes known as, works remotely from home in Oxfordshire providing PA support to Penny, organising meetings, overseeing the database and producing board and steering group minutes. She also helps the marketing and communications team with the newsletter, producing the annual reports and takes on ad hoc projects. And when she’s not at her desk in her slippers, she’s out for a run, enjoying the countryside or spending time with her family.

    Security & Resilience

    As a former Commander within the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS), Mike is well placed to advise members on managing threats and risks. Mike leads the security and resilience area of our work and engages with members to enhance the resilience of the area.

    Outside of work, Mike enjoys travelling, gardening and driving his student son’s around when they visit home!

    Our full-time public facing Street Environment Manager Dan not only welcomes and provides support to visitors of the Quarter but plays a vital role in monitoring the street-scape to keep it a great place to visit, work and live. When he’s not working, Dan loves gaming and building projects.

    Terry’s responsible for managing our Street Safety Team and is well-versed in a public-facing role having spent ten years with the Met Police. Terry is passionate about making a difference in the Quarter, do say hi if you see him!

    Svenn is a long-standing member of our Street Team and is responsible for ensuring the evidence and intel gathered by our team gets to the key authorities, including active problem solving with police and council. Svenn loves building computers, gaming, books and watching football (Chelsea if you wondered)!
