Penny
Chief Executive
Penny is responsible for leading our overall direction and overseeing the delivery of major projects. She’s also instrumental in policy development within the community and lobbying government to put our Quarter firmly on the map. Penny’s got a penchant for chai tea lattes (always) coconut water (sometimes) and kir royal cocktails (occasionally)!
-
Kirsty
Head of Marketing & Communications (on maternity leave)
Ensuring everyone knows about the vibrant, versatile and quirky Quarter is Kirsty’s forte. From leading our communications to developing unique benefits for our businesses, Kirsty has it covered. Miss LifeandSoul hates to miss out and has to be the first to know what’s going on in the Quarter. She’s not quite succeeded in her request for an office dog…but she’s working on it!
-
Racheal
Interim Head of Marketing & Communications
Racheal brings over twenty years of events and marketing experience to BakerStreetQ. She is working on project strands including events, pop-ups, retail strategy, area identity and Christmas lights.
Outside of the office, you will find Racheal enjoying live music, swimming in the sea or having a pint in a cosy pub!
-
Eleanor Swan
Communications Manager
Eleanor works on the Quarter’s communications channels, from the website and email updates to day-to-day social media.
Outside work, she enjoys cooking, live music, exploring London and scrolling through Instagram.

-
Will Dyson
Programme Manager - Sustainability & Public Realm
Will comes to Baker Street Quarter with a wealth of BID experience, both in the Quarter and elsewhere in London. Here in the Quarter Will leads on our public realm and sustainability projects. Outside work, he enjoys swimming, cycling and running around different parts of the city. He’s also a bit of a foodie, and loves discovering new restaurants and cooking at home.
-
Kate
Smarter Giving Project Manager
Kate’s role is to identify how our members can support charities that are local to the Quarter and assist them with their CSR through our Smarter Giving programme. Kate’s treat for all her hard work is travelling the world which she tries to fit in, in between juggling all her charity work. And if she doesn’t get that far, a country pub is her compromise.
-
Steph
Operations Executive
Providing first-class office management support to the team comes naturally to Steph having previously managed multiple offices for a recruitment business. Steph keeps the operational, finance and administrative plates spinning at our HQ and when she’s not holding the team together, she’ll be lifting our spirits with her infectious laugh!
-
Kate
Executive Assistant
‘Virtual Kate’ as she’s sometimes known as, works remotely from home in Oxfordshire providing PA support to Penny, organising meetings, overseeing the database and producing board and steering group minutes. She also helps the marketing and communications team with the newsletter, producing the annual reports and takes on ad hoc projects. And when she’s not at her desk in her slippers, she’s out for a run, enjoying the countryside or spending time with her family.
-
Mike Fairmaner
Interim Operations Manager (P/T)
Mike runs our Street Management Team and manages our security networks. Mike has previous experience running BID Security Teams and prior to that a long career at Westminster City Council. Outside the office, he enjoys cycling, fresh air and exercise, and is training to become a qualified cricket coach.
-
Mike
Security & Resilience
As a former Commander within the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS), Mike is well placed to advise members on managing threats and risks. Mike leads the security and resilience area of our work and engages with members to enhance the resilience of the area.
Outside of work, Mike enjoys travelling, gardening and driving his student sons around when they visit home!
-
Alhoussein
Street Environment
Alhoussein looks after the Quarter’s Street Environment full time in a public facing capacity. Al not only welcomes and provides support to visitors of the Quarter but plays a vital role in monitoring the street-scape to keep it a great place to visit, work and live. When he’s not working, Al is an Arsenal supporter and likes going to the gym.
