10 May 2021
Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre has announced its 2021 season, and as always it’s a fantastic way of enjoying some of the city’s culture in an outdoor environment.
The season opens on 17 June with the timeless story of Romeo and Juliet, showing until 24 July. For children, Anansi the Spider (17 to 24 July) and Dragons and Mythical Beasts (13 August to 5 September) are two tales of magical and engaging creatures and make the perfect summertime family activity. For musical fans, Carousel by Rodgers and Hammerstein will be a must-see in the picturesque setting of the Royal Park and runs from 31 July to 25 September. Tickets for all productions are available here.
If you need a bite to eat beforehand, the Quarter is the perfect stop-off with our mix of independent and family favourite restaurants, and plenty of outdoor dining options. Visit our Directory to browse.
To keep audiences, performers and staff safe, the theatre has introduced measures across the season that will remain in place until such time that restrictions are lifted. These include reduced capacity, enhanced cleaning, one-way systems, mandatory face coverings, temperature screening, paperless and cashless systems, disposable glassware and meal boxes and multiple hand sanitiser stations.
