Christmas Lights

This year, the heart of the Quarter is lit up with beautiful, bespoke Christmas lights. Outside Baker Street station, sixteen festive geese act as gatekeepers leading to a further three site-specific installations at 55 Baker Street, Portman Square Garden and Manchester Garden in the south –  all linked together by stunning illuminated lampposts.

The installations tell the story of the Quarter through its famous people and places, such as the ‘Baker Street Bazaar’, ‘Marylebone Pleasure Garden’, Lady Montagu’s ‘Blue Stocking Parties’ and,  Sherlock Holmes’ Christmastime escapade and, ‘The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle’.
