A Very Merry Marylebone

With Christmas around the corner the festivities are kicking off in Marylebone, with a Merry Marylebone shopping and lights event this Thursday and the Selfridges Christmas Market On The Mews now open.

This Wednesday, 10 November, Marylebone Village is inviting shoppers to celebrate the Christmas season with a festive lights switch-on, with a host of exclusive discounts from local shops, cafes and restaurants to boot. The area just to the east of our Quarter, Marylebone Village encompasses Marylebone High Street and the surrounding area.

As well as the lights and offers, Merry Marylebone will offer plenty of free festive activities, live music and decorations, with a stage hosted by BBC broadcaster and Marylebone resident Jo Good. Make sure you head to the stage for the lights switch on moment at 6pm.

For more information including which brands are taking part, head to the Marylebone Village website.

Looking forward to that first mulled wine of the season? Selfridges Christmas Market on the Mews is now open on Edwards Mews, at the rear of Selfridges. Expect everything from sustainably grown Christmas trees to the perfect festive gifts, a helter skelter, performances from Santa, and some great street food from pioneers Street Feast.

Whether you’re picking up a personalised wreath, choosing indulgent Selfridges Selection treats for your friends and family or enjoying a festive tipple, it’s the perfect way to while away a wintry afternoon or evening. For more details, visit the Selfridges website.

For even more Christmas dates for your diary, put Friday 12 November in your calendar as this is when the Quarter’s festive lights will be switched on, and our Marylebone Winter Garden – Portman Square takes place on 1 to 3 December for even more festive fun.
