Baker Street On Track For Two Way As Works Progress

As works for phase 2 are soon to begin the transformative improvements to these two streets are getting closer and closer to reality.  We can look forward to wider pavements, 50 improved crossings, better lighting, enhanced greening and clearer bus routes.

Fantastic progress has been made so far on the junctions of Gloucester Place and as this work nears completion it’s time for other key areas to get some attention. Phase 2 works, shown in blue in the map below, will start on 8 January and will run through until May. TfL Support To Minimise Disruption 

There will be lane closures on Marylebone Road which are expected to cause traffic and delays, especially in peak times, so if your business relies on frequent deliveries please take a look at the information that TfL has produced to help you prepare. TfL are also hosting two drop in sessions for businesses to find out how to best  manage deliveries during this time. These are being held on 28 and 30 November and you can find out more in this TfL leaflet.

With a project of the scale and size some of the planned works could change so we recommend registering for the Weekly Update email that the project team sends every Thursday. There are also related utility works that may arise at short notice so the weekly update email is a good place to ensure you’re well informed of any sudden changes.
