Book Chiltern Street’s Latest Opening For Your Christmas Catch-Ups

Looking for a spot to book in your Christmas drinks? The Flowerhouse Pub is a new Chiltern Street opening with a mission to support women in hospitality and makes a perfect festive spot for a catch up with colleagues or friends, taking bookings for groups of 6 or more.

On the menu are curated cocktails, draft beer and sharing boards of cheese and charcuterie, pates, olives and bread, and we’re sure it will become a popular spot!

The Flowerhouse Pub’s aim is to support women in the hospitality industry by offering opportunities to female general managers, chefs and bartenders. A study by PwC showed that women hold around 30% of senior positions in hospitality, and the Flowerhouse’s aim is to have around a 70 to 30 ratio of female to male staff. The pub’s decor was also created by female entrepreneurs, and there are plans to host courses and workshops to train women in industry areas they are under-represented.

The pub’s founder, Jo Jackson, also hopes that the balance of staff will help women feel comfortable visiting the space alone, and that flexible shift patterns will make the space inclusive for parents.

Booking is available for groups of 6 or more, so if you’re looking to arrange Christmas drinks with friends or colleagues this is one to add to your list. Book via the website, and walk-ins are also welcome. A full menu from the kitchen opens in January.
