Business Interruption Insurance
A recent judgement at the Supreme Court means that thousands of business insurance policyholders will now have their claims for Coronavirus-related business interruption losses paid, and many more businesses will be able to explore payouts with their insurers.
Many businesses have been significantly affected by the pandemic and this has resulted in numerous claims under business interruption policies over the last 12 months. The Financial Conduct Authority brought the case to the Supreme Court as a test case to get clarity for businesses on these policies, and will now be working with insurers to ensure payments are made promptly.
