Eat Out To Help Out

It’s nearly time to double your dinner or halve your payment at our fantastic local eateries.

The Government’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme enables restaurants, pubs and cafes to offer a 50% discount on eat-in food and non-alcoholic drinks ordered Monday to Wednesday throughout August. Discounts are capped at £10 per person, with the business claiming the cost of the discount from the Government. VAT has also been slashed from 20% to 5% to aid the economic recovery. Find out more here.

The all-day #eotho scheme will support food businesses during the recovery period. A recent BakerStreetQ survey of workers in the area showed that 43% intended to back local businesses by eating lunch out when they return to work, whilst 73% missed eating out and 53% missed going out in the evening the most about the Quarter. This scheme would be an excellent way of getting involved and supporting them, you’ll be backing the businesses and employees that make our vibrant part of London such a wonderful place to visit, live and work..

If you choose to take part, you’ll also have plenty of choice. Those running the scheme in our area include:

Don’t forget, that many restaurants now have outdoor seating and New Quebec Street and Seymour Place have been transformed into outdoor dining areas Wednesday – Saturday 11.00 – 22.00 and 11.00 – 17.00 on Sundays. To find out more about restaurants in the Quarter and outdoor seating visit our Shop the Quarter directory. Make sure you check the restaurant’s website for full details including opening hours and if booking is required.
