Embrace Young & Diverse Talent

BakerStreetQ member Aspect Capital has had great success recently working with Multiverse, which links businesses with professional apprentices.

Aspect Capital, based on Portman Square, is an investment manager with a focus on scientific principles and cutting-edge technology to create investment solutions for their clients. With ever-increasing data demands, Aspect Capital found that it needed extra support in its data team, which is increasingly central to the business’s operation. Multiverse, based locally on Baker Street, links businesses with professional apprentices and Aspect found them the perfect partner in bridging this resource gap. With Multiverse supporting both the business and the apprentice throughout the process, Aspect’s data team were able to focus time where it was needed most and the apprentices were able to gain valuable knowledge, skills and be trained in Aspect’s ways of thinking and working.

Aspect Capital now has Multiverse apprentice roles in Legal, Data and Trading support positions, all learning on the job and making a big contribution to the company. The scheme offers a great way to bring on young and diverse talent; 53% of apprentices placed by Multiverse are of ethnic minority background, 52% are women, and 36% at a socio-economic disadvantage.

You can read more about this inspiring partnership here, and employers can find out more about Multiverse’s apprenticeship programmes, outcomes, and the apprenticeship Levy here. You can get in touch with Multiverse through their contact form.

If your business wants to hear more about the scheme, you can also join Multiverse’s virtual, private roundtable event this week where Aspect Capital’s Director of Organisational Development, Amanda Cherry, will be speaking about the benefits of the scheme and why building new entry routes into financial services for talent is a top priority.
