Exciting Development Commences At 19-35 Baker Street

Works are underway on the next major new development scheme in the Quarter at 19-35 Baker Street. The scheme from Derwent London and The Portman Estate will create a substantial new development in the Quarter consisting of 298,000 sq ft which will include new retail, food and beverage units, high quality office spaces, a range of residential apartments and a courtyard which everyone can enjoy.

You will have noticed that the existing retail businesses of the building have recently closed but rest assured many are retaining a presence in the area with both Soho Coffee and Tesco moving just up the road to 55 Baker Street. Food Filosophy and Leonidas will be heading to new locations further at 31 and 29 George Street, adding to a very attractive parade of retail on this road. George Street has also seen increased pavement dining space this summer, which you can still make the most of until the end of September.

This is a significant development scheme due to complete in 2025. The project team is committed to ensuring this is minimised wherever possible to keep Baker Street an enjoyable and vibrant place to be and is working closely with BakerStreetQ to keep the Quarter informed.
