First Clothes Bank Successfully Trialled

Our ‘Smarter Giving’ initiatives make it easy for you to give, volunteer and engage with local charities and our latest venture did just that.

We recently teamed up with 55 Baker Street (yes, that big sleek building) to host a clothes bank with donations being shared between four charities: Marylebone Project, Portman Early Childgood Centre, St John’s Hospice and West London Day Centre. Chris, Development Worker at the Marylebone Project thanked everyone who donated for their generosity and said “we aim to make sure that women look the part when they go for an interview, whether it’s for a job, volunteer or work placements. Now they don’t have to worry about what they need to wear or how to save money to buy an outfit.” Chris Longman, Building Manager at 55 BS added “we’re always happy to do our bit for the community and this was great way to engage the whole building. BSQP made it easy for us to run it and we would be happy to host it again.” Thanks Chris, we’ll hold you to that!
