Go From Al Desko to Al Fresco!

What we eat and drink affects both our health and our productivity. Obesity can cost a company of 1,000 people an estimated £126,000 a year from lost productivity (NICE). In spite of this, more workers are skipping lunch and paying the price with their health. We fully advocate getting out during your lunch break to explore the Quarter, and often invite you attend lunchtime activities such as our free guided walks and to take advantage of outdoor spaces such as George’s Park… now Westminster City Council is offering a fun and interactive workshop Al Desko to Al Fresco to help people understand the consequences of unhealthy eating at work and missing lunch. It will show the benefits of swapping your desk for some fresh air during lunch and how to make changes to improve your health.

The workshop, delivered by Registered Associate Nutritionist and Wellbeing Consultant, Sarah Gashier, will take place on 20 November at Westminster City Hall between 12.30 and 14.30, and costs £15 per person for businesses signed up to the Healthy Workplace Award and £20 per person for non-Award members.

For further information or to make a booking please e-mail Westminster City Council or call 0207 641 2676.
