Help Shape The University’s Plans

The University of Westminster is seeking partners to engage with their plans to open London’s most inclusive centre for creative and collaborative enterprise at 29 Marylebone Road. The new centre will offer local businesses and the Marylebone community the chance to connect with a talented, highly skilled and diverse pool of students, and the businesses of Baker Street Quarter are invited to give feedback, ideas and needs to inform the University’s plans.

Opening in September 2023, the 10-storey building will be a unique and inclusive space designed for future ways of working in a post-COVID world, providing training, facilities, services and spaces for the workforce of London’s businesses to collaborate with highly skilled students, graduates and academics to develop enterprise and digital skills.

The facilities at 29 Marylebone Road will:

  • support local entrepreneurs and businesses
  • provide state-of-the-art digital and enterprise skills training for students and the local community
  • offer local employers access to University expertise and research resources
  • provide access to a rich and diverse source of student and graduate talent for project work or employment
  • provide a local and accessible venue for events, broadcasting space, meetings and exhibitions

How to share your feedback

The University would like to hear your thoughts on their plans and your experience of working in the borough of Westminster. This will help to ensure that the University designs the facilities and activities to meet the needs of the local community and creates a vibrant network of community partners to support activities within the building.

To find out more and share your feedback on the development of their exciting plans, please contact development@westminster.ac.uk and a member of the project team will be in touch. In addition to feedback shared, the University is hosting a Zoom drop-in on 23 March at 4pm to allow members to find out more, share their thoughts and ask questions. There will be a short presentation outlining our plans for the first 15 minutes, followed by a chance to ask questions. This is a drop in session, so registration is not required. To join, save the date 23 March, 4pm-5pm in your diaries adding the Zoom link here and meeting ID: 834 8608 7622.
