Help Us Beat Last Year’s Record-Breaking Toy Appeal And Delight Local Children

Thanks to all the hard work from last year’s volunteers and your amazing generosity, our annual Toy Appeal was a massive success. Over 500 gifts collected by 42 businesses within the Quarter – our biggest haul of gifts ever – which were given to children who might otherwise not have received a gift at all…

The challenge of this year’s appeal – Monday 25 to Friday 29 November – is to beat that haul to delight the children of Fisherton Pre-School and IMPs Pre-School, the COSMIC Ward (Children of St Mary’s Hospital’s Intensive Care), plus the Newpin Family Centre and The Portman Early Childhood Centre.

And if you’re wondering how you can get involved, well, that’s easy! Simply let us know if you’d like us to set up a collection point at your business and we’ll give you all the support and information you might need. Buying the gifts themselves is always the most fun part – who doesn’t like buying toys? Another way in which you can get involved is to volunteer to help out at COSMIC’s Christmas Wrapping Party!

Getting involved with our annual Toy Appeal is great fun and immensely satisfying, and it’s also a great way for businesses to achieve CSR objectives while, at the same time, strengthening relationships with the local community. Not to mention engaging both the team and Christmas spirit within your workplace.
