Join Kitchen At Holmes’ Happy Hour


We’re sure you’re all missing popping out for a drink after work with your colleagues and the excellent cocktail concoctions from Quarter favourite, The Kitchen at Holmes, so we’re bringing the bar to you!

On Friday 26 June at 5pm you can watch Bar Manager, Peppe Corallo as he takes you through a 12-minute cocktail masterclass, ‘The Chai Series’. Peppe will teach you how to make the chai tea syrup base, which you can then go on to use to make three delicious cocktails  – Gin Sour, Chai Fizz and Old Fashioned.

We’ve listed everything you’ll need below, so that you can get stocked up before-hand and be ready to make your cocktails with Peppe.

Equipment list: 

  • Two part cocktail shaker
  • Measuring cup or 50ml shot glass
  • A teaspoon
  • Mixing glass or large part of two part cocktail shaker
  • Fine strainer e.g. tea leaf strainer or sieve
  • Juicer
  • Peeler
  • Small bottle or jar
  • Long handled spoon*

Ingredients list:

  • Chai tea syrup (can be kept refrigerated for two weeks)
  • 25g chai tea
  • 50g water
  • 100g sugar

Gin Sour
1 egg white
50ml lemon
20ml chai tea syrup
60ml gin
Ice

Chai Fizz
15ml chai tea syrup
25ml sloe gin
2 drops of Old Fashioned Bitters*
2 drops of Angostura Bitters*
Ice
Prosecco or champagne

Old Fashioned (Chai)
10ml chai tea syrup
2 drops of Angostura bitters *
2 drops of Old Fashioned Bitters*
50ml of bourbon or rye whisky or dark rum
Ice
Orange
