London Craft Week 9-15 May

It’s London Craft Week this week – 9-15 May – bringing together over 250 established and emerging makers, designers, brands and galleries across the city to celebrate outstanding British and international creativity.

The festival takes place at over 200 separate locations – independent shops, studios, pop-ups, national museums, contemporary galleries, department stores and luxury boutiques – from 9-15 May. Local to our area are the following events and activities:

Shreeji Newsagents, 6 Chiltern Street – Creative agency Heaps + Stacks examines the place between coffee and craft. Explore the hidden gallery space where guests can view and take part in live demonstrations hosted by unique crafting talent.

Objet d’Emotion, 53 Blandford street – Turquoise Mountain, in collaboration with Myanmar goldsmiths, launches four new capsule jewellery collections, all inspired by different elements of the lotus flower and handcrafted from a selection of local materials.

EDGE Showroom, 146 Marylebone Road – EDGE hosts a selection of Kam Ce Kam in-house designs, handmade in India by their team of highly skilled craftspeople. A panel discussion during the week explores how technology is shaping the future of the craft sector to the advantage of both maker and product.

Vigour and Skills, 67a York Street – Vigour and Skills is hosting a series of live demonstrations and talks with their community of makers and industry experts.
