Offer A Helping Hand

We have volunteering opportunities available with Age UK Westminster to offer weekly visits and phone calls to lonely older people in the local area.

Age UK Westminster is looking for a pool of volunteers to help with:

• One-to-one befriending – Age UK matches volunteers with lonely older people to provide weekly visits to offer company and support. Volunteers can also take clients for walks or visit places of interest.
• Telephone befriending – Age UK matches volunteers with lonely older people to provide a regular phone call to offer company and support.
• Digital session supports – these volunteers will help support Age UK’s digital sessions and help clients with their digital devices. Sessions are drop-in, approximately 2 hours long and held at various locations in the borough. Volunteers can participate as often as their availability allows.
