Our Lobbying Pays Dividends…

We have long considered the area’s security staff and our Street Safety Team, to be a vital presence in our Quarter, and are delighted that the government has now reclassified them as essential workers. We joined others lobbying for this confirmation to ensure that our Team and security teams can continue to carry out their important roles in the area and support the Police and authorities in carrying out theirs.

You will all have seen Terry, Svenn, Sam, Barry and Ram out with their BakerStreetQ yellow on, often a friendly face and a comforting presence at the station, or walking around our streets. The Teams role is currently focused on reassuring those operating essential retail and other services in the area, ensuring those in need are directed to support and keeping an eye on empty premises. They are also in daily contact with the fantastic security teams still operating in the area and working with them to share intelligence and address any concerns as they arise.
