Pride in London Saturday 2 July

The Pride in London parade will be held on Saturday 2nd July, from Hyde Park Corner to Trafalgar Square with further festivities in Soho. Expect a colourful parade with a fantastic atmosphere of celebration.

2022 is a significant year for the Pride movement and the LGBT+ community as they commemorate 50 years since the very first Pride in the UK. There will also be a wide range of events happening across London from talks to tours, see the website for information.

BakerStreetQ is running two special events with a LGBT+ theme. Firstly there will be online training on Transgender Awareness on Monday 27 June 09.30 to 12.00, free for BakerStreetQ members. This will give relevant up-to-date advice to administrators, practitioners, staff and managers from all types of companies.

On Thursday 30 June 18.00 to 19.00 our Blue Badge Guide Mark Conroy will be leading a Guided Walking Tour to discover the many fascinating Marylebone locations with a LGBT+ connection, limited spaces available.

Elsewhere in the Quarter, the Wallace Collection is holding their annual LGBTQI+ Late session on Friday 1 July from 18.30. There will be a selection of Queer-themed performances, music and art, plus entry to their current exhibition, Inspiring Walt Disney: The Animation of French Decorative Arts. The bar and restaurant will also have late night opening until 23.00. For further details and to book tickets see their website.
