Queen’s Jubilee Celebrations Come To The Quarter

As we approach the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations from Thursday 2 – Sunday 5 June, here is our round-up of some of the special offerings in the area starting from this week…

Walking Tour

Food & Drink

The Montagu Kitchen at Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill hotel is holding a very special Queen’s Jubilee Brunch on Sunday 5 June. Raise a glass to the sounds of live music and savour the chef’s selection of canapés and best-of-British flavours, with a buffet feast featuring charcuterie, fresh seafood platters, Beef Wellington, roast pork and classic sweet treats, with the option to add on bottomless bubbly. View the full menu and book your table.

At Durrants Hotel try ‘The Platinum’ a special cocktail created to commemorate the Jubilee celebrations. This is made with some of The Queen’s favourite tipples, Dubonnet and gin. There will also be a specially-created afternoon tea on offer with a regal theme.

The Italian Greyhound has created a special Jubilee menu available from Thursday 2 to Sunday 5 June. Choose from the new Lilibet spritz cocktail, Cacio e Pepe with crown-shaped pasta, or Chateaubriand for two.

Bill’s

From Monday 30 May to Sunday 5 June, Bill’s will have a special edition Platinum Jubilee Menu. You can enjoy the Nation’s Favourite Fish and Chip Burger, the Platinum Eton Mess, limited edition breakfast items such as the Queen Almighty Breakfast & the Jubilee Royal and special edition cocktails, The Crown Jewel & The Royal Flush.

SOHO Coffee Co. at 55 Baker Street will be launching a special Eliza-berry & Cream muffin to celebrate the royal event. A new take on the Victoria sponge, it’s available in their stores for a limited period from 25 May to 8 June.

The Kitchen at Holmes has created a commemorative cocktail especially for the Jubilee. ‘1952’ is a blend of camomile-infused Beefeater Gin with Champagne, agave and lemon juice. You can enjoy drinks, and the bar menu including summer specials, on the new Chandon Garden Spritz summer terrace.

Trishna

Trishna, the celebrated Marylebone restaurant, has devised a limited edition Jubilee special from 1 to 5 June. The highlight dish is Scottish Blue Lobster Chukka served with uthapam, shrimp balchao and mixed sprout sundal. Make it an alfresco lunch or dinner on their terrace in Blandford Street. Trishna has also launched a special new summer cocktail list, including the Waterfall Negroni, Pondicherry Cup, Toddy Shop Sour or the Malabar Gold.

Home House on Portman Square will be celebrating the Jubilee with exciting events throughout June. Book a royal staycation with A Right Royal Night In including a stay in one of the beautifully-appointed bedrooms or suites, a complimentary Kir Royal on arrival and a bottle of Platinum Jubilee Whispering Angel.

The Landmark London is offering a Jubilee Gateway hotel package. This includes an overnight stay, breakfast in the iconic Winter Garden Restaurant, a Jubilee themed teddy bear for child guests, while adults can enjoy HM The Queen’s favourite cocktail, Dubonnet, in the grand Great Central Bar. Exhibitions

Madame Tussauds London will display seven of the beautifully-made gowns that have been used to dress some of The Queen’s figures at the attraction over the years. There have been 24 figures created in total during her reign of 70 years. The display will include a replica of one of the original 1953 Coronation dresses. More here

Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill hotel has a new photography exhibition, telling the story of the relationship between Sir Winston Churchill and The Royal Family. The exhibition is curated by The National Trust and Chartwell House, his former family home in Kent. More here

Selfridges has a range of Jubilee-themed items to help make your party spectacular and commemorate the Platinum Jubilee.

Philglas and Swiggot on New Quebec Street is offering 10-16% off selected wines to celebrate the Jubilee, you can also stop by for cheese, wine and charcuterie treats on their terrace.

Look out for beautiful displays in many of the shops and businesses across the Baker Street and Marylebone area celebrating the Jubilee festivities.
