Rare Chance To Explore Soho Poly

An opportunity to stretch your legs in your lunchtime, our members University of Westminster are hosting a special Open House event on Tuesday 29 March, offering visitors the chance to see inside their historic ‘secret’ basement theatre, the Soho Poly in Riding House Street. Celebrating 50 years since the first production in 1972, the drop-in event will include live performances and an exhibition of photographs from its formative years – 1972 to 1990.

The University is being funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund to undertake a major heritage project around the history of the Soho Poly so there will also be a chance to find out more about this and plans to restore the theatre to its former glory.
