Reopening Day In The Quarter

Today we celebrate the much-anticipated and long-awaited reopening of many of the Quarter’s businesses. We couldn’t be happier to see the doors reopening of our well-loved retailers, along with outdoor hospitality, gyms, salons and beauty services. This is a huge step forward in bringing the Quarter back to life and you can really sense this energy and buzz on the streets today.  While we’re delighted to see more people returning to the area, it’s still a great chance to enjoy what’s on offer in the Quarter while crowds are much smaller than you might be used to in the capital, giving you the time and comfort to browse the Quarter’s shops safely. Outdoor dining continues to book up quickly, so get your reservations in for this week and beyond with our list of al fresco spots.

While you explore the Quarter once again let us remind you that it’s cleaner than ever with active management from our Street Team, who are, as always here seven days a week.  More space has been added in higher traffic areas, such as wider pavements outside the station, to help with social distancing, while we were pleased to see fantastic results from a recent TfL and Imperial College London study that showed no trace of Covid-19 or its variants on the network after thorough testing. We also recommend the TfL Go App, which will help you plan your journey at the quieter times. You can find out more about how we’re working to keep the Quarter safe here.

Of course, if you prefer to shop online for now you can still enjoy the wealth of choice available in the Quarter. Head to our Shop The Quarter directory for inspiration and links to home delivery options, while if you want to take part in our online events and training, including our long-running wellness and mental health series, these are all available virtually here.
