Selfridges Pre-Loved Toy Shop

Selfridges has become the first department store to offer a pre-loved top pop-up, part of the store’s Project Earth RESELLFRIDGES initiative to promote a circular economy.

The TOY Project is open in Selfridges Toy Department on the fourth floor, and will feature a curated selection of pre-loved, unique toys, from collectable figures to antique teddies and classic family games. The pop-up is in collaboration with London-based charity The TOY Collective, and you can also donate toys in the run-up to Christmas, helping prevent waste over the festive period. Donations can be made every weekend until 18 December. Donated toys will either be sold back through the pop up or given a second life and donated to children through the charity. Profits from The TOY Project will go towards workshops, toy and book libraries, and community events.

The TOY Project is just the latest initiative in the RESELLFRIDGES scheme, which has also seen the department store sell pre-loved wedding dress, outdoor clothing and more. Selfridges launched Project Earth in 2020, a commitment to change the way we shop and do business. Read more about Project Earth on the Selfridges website.
