Selfridges Reopens

A clear step on the road to recovery is the news that Selfridges has reopened today. With some tweaks to the usual shopping experience, including new services and measures to support your health and wellbeing, there will be exclusive product launches and collaborations to enjoy during your shopping trip.

Hosts will be positioned at the doors to let you know when you are able to enter the store (fast track entrances are available to NHS or social care workers), hand sanitiser is available throughout, restaurants are closed but you can pick up a delicious takeaway. All clothing tried on will be quarantined for 72 hours whilst accessories and shoes will be sanitised and steamed before being returned to the shop floor. You can, of course, continue to buy and browse Selfridges products online too, as well as make an appointment for virtual gifting, styling and beauty guidance.

To mark the reopening of its stores, Selfridges offered team members the opportunity to have their own messages of thanks displayed across its world-famous windows in London. Dedicated to friends, families, colleagues, neighbours, NHS and key workers, hard-working delivery drivers, tireless check-out staff and kind strangers, these posters show a heartfelt note of appreciation from all at Selfridges.

The windows are an extension of the Selfridges #KindnessChallenge, a series of charitable initiatives aimed to support the communities in which Selfridges operates its stores. As part of the #kindnesschallenge, Selfridges invites its followers on social media to take a moment out of their day and the 24-hour news feeds to contribute to a ‘good deed feed’. The challenge celebrates actions that people are taking to help themselves and others in a safe and responsible way.
