Several New Portman Marylebone Openings

The Portman Estate has welcomed seven food and drink stores, restaurants and a hotel to its neighbourhood in recent weeks and months, further adding to the variety of choice and independent offering we’re lucky enough to enjoy here in the Quarter.

Nobu Hotel London Portman Square, Roketsu, KOL, So French Deli, Seymour Store, Chourangi and Pizza Pilgrims add to the strong mix of pioneering independent brands and luxury boutique hotels that can be discovered on our vibrant and unique shopping and dining streets, including Chiltern Street, New Quebec Street, Portman Square, Old Quebec Street and Seymour Place.

The Quarter’s newest hotel, Nobu Hotel London Portman Square, has its year-round outdoor terrace open now and available for booking, while its indoor restaurant and bar and Nobu Pilates, Wellness and Fitness, alongside 249 rooms, open for the first time on 17 May. Japanese restaurant Roketsu will launch its debut European site on New Quebec Street, bringing the finest in Kaiseki (Japanese multi-course dinner) tradition to London’s diners. Chef and owner Daisuke Hayashi is a protégée of seven-Michelin-starred chef Yoshihiro Murata, so this is set to be a real destination on the London restaurant scene. Meanwhile Mexican restaurant KOL is set to reopen its doors on 18 May, after opening for the first time in autumn 2020 on Seymour Street.

On Seymour Place, So French Deli offers an immersive French café experience with an array of high quality products on offer, while Persian organic deli Seymour Store, brings fresh organic groceries and produce. On Old Quebec Street, just west of the Quarter, Chourangi will be a new addition serving traditional Bengali dishes and showcasing the delights of East-Indian cuisine, while Pizza Pilgrims will be opening up next door by the summer.

It’s always fantastic to see new openings in our corner of London, and we know these new choices will be popular with visitors and diners who’ve missed dining and shopping out in the Quarter. You can browse all the choice available in the Quarter on our business Directory.
