Step-Free Access On The Tube

Transport for London is looking to hear from people who rely on step-free access on the Tube network in a new consultation. The consultation will shape TfL’s future approach to step-free Tube stations and will be delivered using their new ‘Have Your Say’ consultation platform, along with many community and stakeholder conversations. You can complete the survey here.

TfL would like the people who benefit from step-free access to tell them what features of a step-free tube station are most important to them. Respondents’ priorities will be taken into consideration and applied across the TfL tube network to help pinpoint which step-free locations will benefit the most people. This will inform TfL’s strategy to providing step-free stations in the future, when funding becomes available beyond the existing programme.

While step-free access is especially important for those who rely on it for travel, it also makes travelling easier for everyone, for example for those who might be carrying luggage or equipment for their job.

Read more, and complete the survey, on the Transport for London website. You’re also encouraged to share the survey among your networks. It is open until 10 February 2022.
