Summer in the Square returns

For the second summer Portman Square Garden will be home to a series of special summer events. The usually private green space, a stone’s throw away from Oxford Street, will be open for everyone to enjoy.

Hosting some spectacular events in June and July including Wimbledon Live, a Summer Festival and Sunset Cinema, we’re bringing some outdoor fun to the area. With thousands of office-based workers in need of some summer entertainment and an equally busy resident community doubles the demand for creating fun social events with a difference.  From 30 June to 10 July the Summer in the Square series will allow all to eat, play, be entertained and while away the hours in the company of others in the Quarter from sunshine to sunset.

Starting on 30 June, our usual monthly food market has been extended into a two-day Summer Festival where you can experience fantastic food from over 25 traders, entertainment, games and even a retreat to put your feet up!

11.00 – 15:00 30 June & 1 July.

When sunset arrives the Summer Festival will be transformed into a unique Sunset Cinemaexperience. With the beautiful backdrop of 18 Century building Home House and five star luxury hotel the Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill, together with magnificent plane trees, the audience can enjoy the most spectacular boutique outdoor cinema experience to watch some soon to be revealed popular films in an experience like no other.

17:00 – 22:00 30 June & 1 July.

The second week of Wimbledon, when the action really gets going, is when visitors can enjoy the complete SW19 experience without venturing south of the river.  Wimbledon Live is the place to watch all the live action whilst enjoying strawberries and cream and sipping Pimms without facing the crowds at Murray Mound!

A first for this summer, we’re also hosting two-nights of Sunset Cinema just for our members at the exclusive Manchester Square Garden. On the evenings of 24 & 25 June the garden will be the perfect setting for a unique boutique experience where members can network and enjoy some first class movies.
