Although the Penfold Community Hub’s Day Care Centre is temporarily closed, the charity’s residential unit, which provides tailored support specifically for those living with dementia, has staff contending with extremely difficult conditions to provide round-the-clock care for residents and to keep them safe.
As these key workers face increasingly challenging journeys to and from the unit, Penfold is reaching out to local businesses to help provide, not only accommodation and parking for these dedicated individuals, but also something special to keep their spirits up, such as a supply of food or drink for the team’s lunches. Anything that shows the community’s appreciation and acknowledgement of all their hard work during this difficult time would be gratefully received.
If you or your business can help, please do let us know by contacting our Smarter Giving Manager, Kate Heslegrave.
