Supporting Afghan Refugees

Your help supporting Westminster’s Afghan refugees has been crucial so far and continued support is needed as they rebuild their lives in the area.

Last year the Quarter’s businesses responded generously to our call out for donations. Westminster now has over 350 Afghan children and many of them have now outgrown the clothes they arrived in and are in need of new ones. As Westminster City Council continue to support the refugees, we are calling out for donations of new and good quality clothes for children of all ages, 2-17. In particular the following items are needed:

  • Coats
  • Shoes
  • Fleeces/hoodies/sweatshirts
  • Long sleeved t-shirts
  • Jeans/trousers
  • Underwear including vests and socks

If this is something you or your business can help with, either through a financial donation or through purchasing new clothes, please contact Kate on smartergiving@bakerstreetq.co.uk. Please note that the Council has requested new clothes only.
