Thank You To Our Wonderful Baker Street Quarter Businesses!
We had a fantastic response to our annual Christmas Smarter Giving campaign, with our Quarter businesses generously donating 340 toys for local nurseries, over 100 backpacks for Afghan refugee children, 60 gifts for local elderly residents and over 40 food parcels. To top it off, we also raised over £1,500 for Marylebone FoodCycle through our raffle and Winter Garden events!
It was wonderful to see such incredible donations from a wide range of our Baker Street Quarter members and businesses, and these donations will make such a difference to support those in need locally.
Businesses that took part in our Christmas drives were Pimco, 40 Portman Square, Streathers Solicitors, Howard de Walden Estate, BNP Paribas, Colliers, Revcap, Fortius Clinic and Poten. Backpacks for the Afghan child refugee campaign were kindly donated by Aspect Capital, 35 Portman Square, Nobu Hotel London Portman Square and Serica Energy. Prizes and donations for our annual Christmas raffle were generously donated by Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill, Nobu Hotel London Portman Square, Home House, Chiltern Firehouse, Holmes Hotel, Knight Frank, Colliers, Chiltern Street Deli, Aspect Capital, BDO, Derwent London and The Portman Estate, with cash donations from Bridgepoint and Brevan Howard.
Our annual Christmas charity drives are always incredibly popular with our local businesses, but we also have opportunities to get involved with local giving year-round. From hosting career talks or offering mentorships to Westminster’s young people to donating your unwanted office items, there are endless ways to get involved with Smarter Giving in 2022.
