Think About Our Air Quality Before You ‘Click’!
Started your Christmas shopping yet? With over 20% of all UK retail purchases being made online last year, there’s a good chance that when you do start grabbing those stocking fillers, you’ll do some shopping online. But before you click to buy, please think about your delivery options… while it seems the perfect solution to have your purchases delivered to the office, not only does this put undue pressure on the post room and leave you to lug home your parcels, it has a massive impact on the number of delivery vehicles in our Quarter. It is estimated that as much as 40% of deliveries to businesses within our Quarter are personal deliveries, which rises to 60% in the run up to Christmas.
This has a massive impact on the air that we breathe and congestion on our streets. The resulting increase in nitrogen dioxide and particulate matter is a major health concern, and one that affects us all. But there are some great alternatives, which are convenient and easy to use. And, of course, better for our air quality.
The Click Collect tool on our website gives you a range of alternatives to choose from to make it easier for you receive your deliveries without impacting on congestion or air quality within the Quarter.
Find out more about Click & Collect and the easy and convenient alternatives to personal deliveries to the office.
