#AreYouOkay Campaign

Local charity West London Mission provides support through a range of services including emergency housing, affordable counselling and help with addiction. Their work has become even more important in recent months ensuring that those living on the streets had access to safe accommodation and support during lockdown. Last week saw the announcement of its new digital campaign to raise awareness of their work and the people they help in London during this time. The #AreYouOk campaign aims to tell the stories of everyday individuals who are struggling due to coronavirus, linking their life experiences with WLM’s much-needed professional services to the community. These include a proud mum who currently is out of work; a drummer who is sleeping rough; a dad battling alcoholism whilst still coaching his son’s football team and a veteran who has suffered significant trauma whilst serving in the British Military. Look out for the campaign launching over the Christmas period across social media and their website.

As well as this campaign WLM has been refurbishing the top floors of their premises in Seymour Place to help them run their operation more effectively. This frontline provision will be housed together in one building instead of scattered over several sites, enhancing communication and providing joined-up support including finance, HR, fundraising, facilities and IT, communications and marketing, faith and spirituality and senior management.
