Wetherby School Tea Party for Elderly Residents

As part of our Smarter Giving programme, on Wednesday 4 May local elderly residents from the Penfold Community Hub were invited to attend a tea party organised by students of Wetherby School.

The residents enjoyed a great afternoon of chat, wonderful food, music from the students, school history and a quiz. The students, aged 12-15 did very well looking after the guests and played a variety of games.

The Smarter Giving initiative works to facilitate partnerships between local businesses and charities and community groups. The initiative aims to support businesses and to build a connection with the local community while charities benefit from the donations of time, expertise and funding.
