Fire Marshal Training FULLY BOOKED
Tuesday 18 May 9.30 - 12.30
This virtual half day Fire Marshal training course is delivered by professional firefighters with teaching qualifications. Attendees will receive advice and training which covers the full roles and responsibilities of a designated Fire Marshal. They will also learn basic fire safety procedures in the workplace and how to ensure your organisation is compliant with the law. It is a legal requirement to ensure you have an adequate number of staff trained to handle the safe and successful evacuation in the case of a fire emergency.

Waste is a Waste with Paper-Round

Waste is exactly that – a waste. With the forthcoming Environment Bill and Circular Economy package we will see more changes in the way we manage waste over the next 5 years than we have in the last 20 years. This session will explore some of the exciting innovations Paper Round are delivering which are helping to keep our resources in use as long as possible and reduce the negative impact of what is disposed. We will also explore some top tips in helping you reduce your waste as we look to move forward in 2021.
Duty to Protect Legislation: What does it mean to you?

The government has opened consultation on new Duty to Protect measures which will require owners and operators of offices and commercial buildings to put procedures in place to keep the public safe from a terrorist attack. When the Duty to Protect law is passed it will require businesses to take measures to prepare and protect the public from terrorist attacks which may include increased resources and regular training for your staff.
This webinar for commercial buildings and office-based businesses being run by Michael Wood and Georgie Barnard from West End Security Group, will explain what Duty to Protect will mean for your business. It is relevant for people in facilities and office management, senior security, resilience, and operational risk assessment roles. Wednesday 2 June 10.00 - 13.00 In Person Training
A three hour interactive in-person workshop, facilitated and delivered by Counter Terrorism Security Advisors. ACT Operational aims to raise awareness of terrorism issues, improve the security culture and increase confidence of frontline staff when responding to an incident.
The session covers:
- The current and emerging threats to businesses and the local area
- The importance of disrupting preparations for an attack
- Plans, policies and tools available to disrupt hostile activity and instil confidence in staff
- Interactive table-top exercise to share knowledge and understanding
Emergency First Aid at Work FULLY BOOKED

Please note this course is in person and will take place in Marylebone.
This one day course is designed for people who want to receive training in emergency first aid and is especially suited for nominated first aiders in low risk working environments. Learn about the role of a first aider, managing an emergency, communication and casualty care. This course is delivered by St Johns Ambulance and certificates are issued once the course is successfully completed.

Mental Health First Aid Course
Tuesday - Thursday 15 - 17 June
This online course qualifies you as a Mental Health First Aider, giving you:
- An in-depth understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect wellbeing
- Practical skills to spot the triggers and signs of mental health issues
- Confidence to step in, reassure and support a person in distress
- Enhanced interpersonal skills such as non-judgemental listening
- Knowledge to help someone recover their health by guiding them to further support – whether that’s self-help resources, through their employer, the NHS, or a mix
This course is delivered online and is made up of individual learning activities and a series of four live instructor-led sessions. Individual learning will be based on a combination of videos, workbook activities and reading. This can be completed at your own pace in advance of each live session. The live sessions are led by an approved MHFA England Instructor and are interactive, involving presentation of slides, video clips, activities, discussion and case studies, which you will explore as a group to embed learning. - Before the live sessions begin you will need to do some set up online and some pre learning which will take 1 hour

Workplace Safety During Covid-19
The Suzy Lamplugh Trust has been awarded a grant by the City Bridge Trust to provide free of charge, Personal Safety awareness sessions to keyworkers across London.
This is in response to the significant increase in aggressive and violent behaviours experienced by keyworkers, across all sectors, particularly since the pandemic began in 2020.
The webinars will run until the end of June 2021 and are approximately 30 minutes’ long, with an additional 10 minutes at the end for Q&A, if delegates wish to stay. The objective of the sessions is to provide useful knowledge and tools that keyworkers can use to dynamically assess then mitigate, manage or reduce aggressive and violent behaviours, as they carry out their day-to-day duties.

We are working with the Police Security Digital Centre (PDSC) in collaboration with the Metropolitan Police to deliver a free 12-week course supporting your business to enhance it’s cyber security. Addressing this issue during the current context would be beneficial to any company as so many of us are working from home.

ACT Awareness e-Learning Guidance
The insight gained from this interactive ACT Awareness e-Learning course will benefit all employees, and would ideally be used as part of a new employee staff induction. Starting with an introduction to terrorism, the course then covers guidance to help employees identify and respond to security vulnerabilities, suspicious behaviour, bomb threats and weapons attack. See, Check and Notify (SCaN) Counter Terrorism Workshops
This brand new suite of workshops delivered by the National Counter Terrorism Police aims to help businesses maximise safety and security by using their existing resources.
Customer Facing – A three hour interactive for staff who have face to face contact with customers, the public and site users. It covers suspicious activity, the importance of vigilance, the power of hello and how to report your concerns. This workshop is aimed at businesses and venues with dedicated security teams and customer services personnel.
Decision Maker – A 30 minute high level briefing that provides decision makers (Executive level) with the necessary information to decide whether or not they wish to implement the programme and identify who will lead any roll-out. This session is aimed at management with the responsibility to implement the adoption of SCaN.
CCTV – A two hour session that provides CCTV operators an advanced awareness of Hostile Reconnaissance and where it is likely to take place. This workshop is aimed at sites with a 24/7 monitored CCTV system.
Security Managers – An ongoing mentoring programme that aims to empower the security manager to target harden their site against hostile reconnaissance.
Comms Professionals – A half day workshop to enable communications professionals to deliver security minded deterrence communications at their site.
All Staff – A 30 minute briefing to all staff to raise awareness of what hostile reconnaissance is and how it can be deterred and to encourage suspicious activity to be reported.

IOSH Managing Safely, Date TBC
This three day course is an essential qualification to give supervisors, managers and heads of department the knowledge they need to effectively manage health and safety in the workplace. The hands on, jargon-free format will engage and improve company-wide safety awareness and appreciation for safety measures.
Delivered by the British Safety Council, accredited by the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). No pre-requisites or prior health and safety knowledge is required. On completion you’ll be awarded an IOSH Managing safely certificate. This course is offered for FREE as part of your membership and will save your business £595 per person. Limited to three places per company.
